Flower Care for Wrapped Bouquets
Upon receiving your fresh flower bouquet:
- Use a sharp knife or scissors to remove any foliage that will be under water.
- Re-cut all the stems under water.
- Place a package of fresh cut flower food in vase and fill with water per the instructions on the package of the flower food.
- After two or three days replace the water and add a second package of fresh cut flower food in the vase and re-cut your flowers.
- Do not place your fresh flower bouquet near any heat source and keep it out of direct sun light.
- Be sure to place your fresh flower bouquet away from ripening fruit as fruit gives off ethylene gas which will reduce the life of your flowers.
Fresh Flower Arrangement Care
Upon receiving your fresh flower arrangement:
- Check the water level as they may need water to be added
- Check your fresh flower arrangement daily and water with fresh cut flower food, mix the package of fresh flower food per the instructions on the package.
- Do not place your fresh flower bouquet near any heat source and keep it out of direct sun light.
- Be sure to place your fresh flower bouquet away from ripening fruit as fruit gives off ethylene gas which will reduce the life of your flowers.
Special Note for Lilies
If you have lilies in either your bouquet or arrangement as they open, remove the stamens in the center of the blooms. The stamens will develop a powdery residue that stains your table cloths or anything it might fall on or brush against.
